Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of the Pocket Balance Android app, provided by Pocket Code Apps. By installing or using the app, you agree to these Terms.
Using the app
Pocket Balance is a personal tool for recording and reviewing your own finances. You may use it for personal, lawful purposes. You must not reverse engineer, resell or misuse the app.
Not financial advice
Pocket Balance helps you organize information you enter yourself. It does not provide financial, tax or investment advice, and you are responsible for decisions you make based on it. The app does not connect to your bank and does not move money.
Your data and backups
You are responsible for the data you enter. Optional backups are stored in your own Google Drive as described in our Privacy Policy. Your use of Google Drive is also subject to Google's terms. Restoring a backup replaces the data currently in the app with the contents of the backup.
PIN code
The PIN is stored only on your device and is never backed up, so we cannot recover or reset it for you. Keep it somewhere safe.
Reminders
Reminders depend on your device's notification, alarm and battery settings. We cannot guarantee that every reminder is delivered on time.
Third-party services
The app relies on services provided by Google (Google Drive, Firebase Crashlytics and Google Analytics for Firebase). Their availability is outside our control, and your use of them is subject to Google's terms and policies.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that it will be error-free or that data will never be lost, so please keep backups enabled.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the app.
Ending use
You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. To also remove your Google Drive backup, follow the steps in the Privacy Policy.
Changes
We may update these Terms. The current version will always be posted on this page with a new effective date.
